Depends on a lot of factors but one of the most important we won't know to the last minute is the weather.

Chicago does get rain in the summer and rain would be Biden's best friend here if it happened.

Worth pointing out 1968 saw significant chaos INSIDE the hall as well. Humphrey had 68% of delegates but that's a lot of delegates and notables making floor fights.

Biden will have ~99% of delegates (he's dropped about 30 so far and will peobably drop a handful more in KY and WV). The room will be filled with delegates hand selected by the campaign.

Also worth pointing out the USA is a MUCH older country than it was in 1968.

EDIT:

People under 30, 1968: 52.6% of the population

People under 30, 2023: 36.4% of the population
