Long line once the poll opened, but it went by pretty fast. I got there around 6 and ended up voting around 6:30. Parking was horrible though.

If it hasn't been reported.

5 of 7 Voting Machines at a location in Richmond broke down so they are using emergency paper ballots and have new machines on the way.

Same in Fairfax last I heard, they are both using paper ballots now.

Oh boy...

The ones in Fairfax apparently didnt have working memory cards or something, but it only effected a few machines and is nothing major.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ Virginians are voting at a record-setting pace.

The executive secretary of the State Board of Elections said at a briefing in Richmond that 30 percent to 40 percent of the state's more than 5 million registered voters had cast ballots Tuesday morning. Nancy Rodrigues said that typically the turnout is about one-half of that pace.

She estimated that more than 75 percent of Virginia's registered voters will have cast ballots by the time the polls close at 7 p.m.

I can believe it.

Great news.

Theres places in Virginia where people have been standing in line for about 6 hours, according to MSNBC. I think most of it has been in the south.

Plus apparently theres strong turnout in Rural Missouri and some polling place in North Carolina will remain open till 8:30.
