That new new estonian party (E2000) or something. Dutch pensioneers. In Finland we have new Liike Nyt, that has participated negotiations,  but its support has never been tested.

What kind ticket is used in Austrian elections. It is possible to mark a particular candidate or just a list. Are these markings counted by officials.

In Finland the EP situation is quite open, due the national elections only one month before. The parties have not dominated the candidates, but it is known that two major figures of Finnish politics  have decided to run. Mauri Pekkarinen has been leading politician of Centre since early 90ties (in parlament for 40 years) and Ville Niinistö, former leaders of  the Greens. about 10/14 MEPS are running again.

2 Spitzenkandidaten for the Party of European Left - Violeta Tomić, an MP from Slovenia's "Left" (Levica) party and Nico Cué, the former secretary general of the Metalworkers' Union of Belgium.

Funnily, neither Belgium nor Slovenia has GUE MPs in present parliament.

The classification used by Spanish poster is rather free. But if you know the parties they write about, it is possible to read.

You may understand that situation in Ireland is unique, so UK is not best example for the problems of leaving union. USSR actually had paragraphs for disintegration of the union, and they were actually used in order disintegrate.

What makes rather rural Warmia-Mazuria so non-PiS. Just combined PO-PSL machine is strong enough?

Quote
Estonia's government has moved quickly on naming the country's next commissioner, with a proposal from prime minister Juri Ratas to submit Centre Party minister, Kadri Simson, as a candidate approved on Thursday

https://euobserver.com/tickers/145103

Are other commissioners already known?

Jutta Urpilainen (SDP) will be the commissioner from Finland.

Urpilainen shall be first Finnish not Savonian comissioner,  a new development in Finland.

I liked that a Hanoverian Lutheran was chosen after endless line of similar Catholics. It is easy to say that the Europe is union of independent states, if you have not to bother the reality. It is like saying that Sweden is federation of independent regions or the Reich was federation of independent princes. Obviously there are independence of states, but less than people like to think.
