Yes, obviously.
Some European ones are awful with their requirement to be registered by the December 31st of the preceding year.

Here, I got automatically registed at 18 and there is a part of the tax returns and of the Census form where they offer to register on the electoral rolls.

And they send you each election a card which says your precinct. If you don't receive it, you know you aren't registered and you can register.
