I don't think it's a bad speech; the crowd just isn't into it.
Exactly, it isn't exactly what excites the Democratic base, talking about business, competition and national security from a pragmatic centrist viewpoint.

Pretty sad that a substance-less speech about "hope and change" is more up the Democratic delegates' alley than a substance-filled speech like this.
