Klobuchar really is a good campaigner when she gets into her element. People like to say Warren is the wonk candidate, but I think Klobs might have her beat.

The difference is that Klobuchar is an actual wonk while Warren always retreats into populist demagoguery and rehearsed talking points when challenged.

Yeah, nobody's pinning this thread because Yang has 4% in RCP.  Bloomberg has twice that much and he's not pinned.  The thread is polled for the next few days because she may possibly have 18% in Iowa.

Could somebody explain the issue with her as DA in detail?

Was she responsible or push for the wrongful conviction?

I've been highly critical of Klobuchar on this forum, but the DA story is BS.

Personally I feel that any attempt to pin particular criminal justice outcomes on a single DA or lawyer, just because she's running for president, is always bad.  When your'e in the legal system, you do your job and act the role you're given.  It's not Hillary Clinton's fault that rapist guy was found innocent due to her defense.  It's not Kamala Harris' fault that such-and-such guy got prosecuted and may have been innocent.  Same for Klobuchar.  We take the evidence we're given, the prosecution and defense both do the best job they can, guilt or innocence is determined, and a sentence is doled out accordingly.

But this particular story is full of more holes than swiss cheese.  It's obviously not Klobuchar's fault that he was later found to be innocent.

What's next for Amy and Pete? Should they do something in Nevada/SC or focus their activity on north Super Tuesday states?

Probably trying to kill each other, TBH.  Either would have easily won NH if the other wasn't in the race.

What they should be doing, especially Amy, is trying to make up ground with black voters.

It's worth noting that Amy's elections have been in 2006, 2012, and 2018, which were all great years for Democrats.  In 2012 and 2018 she faced only unfunded, token opposition.  Her original election year of 2006 was a landslide year for the DFL.  So it's not like she's been running around toppling GOP titans while the rest of her state swings around.  Frankly she's never really had a serious electoral challenge.

Of course, this could be because she's so strong and popular that the GOP doesn't even bother trying to challenge her despite the swinginess of her state.  After all, Norm Coleman could have tried to take her down but didn't.
