I don't have access to detailed county level precinct results from '92, but here is his performance in the largest cities in Oregon in order of '16 Population (Precinct level data):
1.) Portland--- 18.4% Perot 2.) Salem-- 21.7% Perot 3.) Eugene--- 18.0% Perot 4.) Gresham-- 24.4% Perot 5.) Hillsboro-- 26.6% Perot 6.) Beaverton--23.4% Perot 7.) Bend--- 26.1% Perot 8.) Medford-- 23.0% Perot 9.) Springfield-- 26.4% Perot 10.) Corvallis-- 19.3% Perot 11.) Albany-- 28.5% Perot 12.) Tigard--- 23.9% Perot 13.) Lake Oswego-- 19.6% Perot 14.) Keizer-- 23.6% Perot 15.) Grants Pass--- 22.7% Perot
If we look at incorporated "cities" in Oregon where Perot captured 30.0% of the vote or more, I have a list of 35 "cities", with the vast majority of them with <5,000 residents.
If drill down the list and look at cities that Perot won in '92 we see the following list:
1.) Scio (Linn County)- 35.7% Perot 2.) Boardman (Morrow County)- 34.2% Perot
He placed 2nd in the following cities:
1.) Pilot Rock- (Umatilla County)--- 35.1% 2.) Carlton- (Yamhill County)-- 35.0% 3.) Depoe By--- (Lincoln County)- 34.6% 4.) Oak Ridge--- (Lane County) 33.7% 5.) Yoncalla--- (Douglas County)--- 33.5% 6.) Athena-- (Umatilla County)--- 33.3% (Split Precinct) 7.) Jefferson- (Linn County)-- 33.0% 8.) Vernonia- (Columbia County)- 32.6% 9.) Aumsvilla- (Marion County)- 32.6% 10.) Shady Cove- (Josephine Count)- 32.6% 11.) Brookings- (Curry County)--- 32.5% 12.) Brownsville- (Linn County)--- 32.3% 13.) Union-- (Union County)--- 32.2% 14.) Waldport- (Lincoln County)-- 32.2% 15.) Oakland--- (Douglas County) - 32.0% 16.) Gold Hill--- (Josephine County)- 31.8% 17.) Stanfield- (Umatilla County)--- 31.8% (Split Precinct) 18.) Canyonville- (Douglas County)-- 31.7% 19.) Powers--- (Coos County)--- 31.7% 20.) Bay City-- (Tillamook County)- 31.4% 21.) Elgin-- (Union County)--- 31.3% 22.) Port Orford- (Curry County)-- 30.8% 23.) Canyon City- (Douglas County)-- 30.8% 24.) Falls City-- (Dallas County)--- 30.3% 25.) North Plains--- (Washington County)--- 30.1% 26.) Myrtle Creek---(Douglas County) 29.6% 27.) Toledo--- (Lincoln County)--- 29.1% 28.) Rainier-- (Columbia County)-- 29.1% 29.) St Helens-- (Columbia County)-- 28.7% 30.) Riddle-- (Douglas County)-- 28.6% 31.) Siletz-- (Lincoln County)== 28.6%
Now, eyeballing that list, it looks like the City in Oregon with the largest population, where Perot placed 1st or 2nd, would be St Helens (Columbia County) with a current pop of about 13k.... Many of the other cities on the list are current/former Timber Mill towns.
Although Perot overall performed extremely well in Oregon, taking votes from both Mondale/Dukakis voters from '84 and '88, he also did quite well among Reagan '84/Bush Sr '88 voters as well....
This is a whole separate topic that I was planning to explore on a different thread, also looking at the Obama '08/'12/Trump '16 swings in certain smaller communities, but at least here's what I can offer for now to this conversation.
