This is also Nader's 2nd best election result. Note that votes are still being counted (including write-ins). Here are his results from best to worst: 2000, 2008, 1996, 2004.

Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney now also has over 150,000 votes, which is over 30,000 more than Green presidential candidate David Cobb got in 2004. Green popular votes for the US Senate and House are also likely the highest ever.
