What exactly is the logic here? Democratic primary voters are growing disenchanted with the 76 year-old white, centrist front runner, so seizing on this perceived opening, the 77 year-old white, centrist man is going to try to fill the void?

Biden sucks at running for president yet none of the centrists have been able to capitalize on that. Might as well try a new face(Bloomberg logic).

I honestly think Bloomberg would be a better general election candidate than Biden. Bloomberg is a decent public speaker and has pretty good record as Mayor.

At first I thought it was rust, but maybe Biden really is a doddering old man. So Bloomberg > Biden.

What I fear is that he uses his unsuccessful primary run as a springboard to run as an independent in the general and we get four more years of Trump.

Bloomberg donated like 100,000,000 to democrats in 2018. He aint running third party.

What do you mean? That’s why Buttigieg is doing better now.

Better, but still at 7% nationally.

Best case scenario:

Bloomberg splits the "centrist" primary voters evenly with Biden, leaving room for Warren to come out ahead.

He's going to take votes from Warren's base (wealthy white people). It will help Sanders if anyone.

Under that logic, he'll hurt Mayor Pete the most.

I'm surprised at how negative the reception has been so far. Even the moderates I follow are having none of it.

I went to the car dealership today for service. They had a local ABC affiliate on and in the 2 hours I was there, I saw about 5 Bloomberg 2020 TV ads. This was during "Live with Kelly and Ryan" and "The View" so not some random syndicated reruns either. I'm not sure how effective these ads are, but you can definitely tell Bloomberg is spending the big bucks to get his name out.

He'll become an easy target by everyone for trying to buy the election.
