If it were just challenging aspects of his record, then sure. But they have gone another step in that process and that is to paint Romney as an evil, vindictive, and rich SOB who despises real people. Is that not the epitome of a personal attack? It is backdoor access with a cloak of a occuring under the umbrella of a letimate critique to be sure, but a pig is a still a pig in the end.

You are right of course. Mittens doesn't despise all the people, only those that don't bring a profit to him.

Doesn't the nature of business necessitate the liquidating of labor that no longer produce or provide a service in a profitable manner? How in any way can that fairly reflect on the character for the person tasked with undertaking such a necessitated evil as laying people off? More or less lend to a conclusion that he despises such people.
