I implore the next Senate not to pass the Houses' proposed amendment in its current form, as it can create unintended rights in regional elections.
Here's how I would "fix" the "problem" - if the next Senate deems the current timing of elections a problem to begin with. Instead of amending the Atlasian Constitution, we only need to amend the
Federal Electoral Act. Let's start with Section 15:

I will no longer be in the Senate tomorrow, so someone else will need to sponsor my proposed amendment, assuming the proposed constitutional amendment from the House can find a sponsor in the first place.
