Taking an idea from WalterMitty, let's see if we can get another story going.

January 20, 2005, the second inauguration of President George W Bush and Vice President  Dick Cheney.

After the swearing in, mysteriously, both President Bush and Vice President Cheney suffer heart attacks.  Security guards immediately swarm over the fallen President and Vice President and their wives.  

The President and Vice President and their wives are whisked away in limos to the Walter Reed Medical Center.  It is not known at this time if the heart attacks would prove to be fatal.

Chaos breaks out in the crowd.

House Speaker Dennis Hastert, attending the inauguration, is immediately surrounded by a multitude of security guards, who take him to a waiting limo, and speed to a secure location in the capitol building, to await news of the state of the President and Vice President.

President Ted Stevens nominates conservative syndicated columnist, bestselling author, constitutional lawyer, and television pundit, Ann Coulter for Vice President.

Coulter wins approval from the Republican controlled House and Senate, with help of southern conservative Democrats, within 1 month, and she is sworn in as Vice President the same day.

One week later, 82 year old President Ted Stevens suffers a heart attack and slips into a coma.  Vice President Coulter assumes the duties of President.  Two days later, President Stevens dies, and Coulter is sworn in as President.

Coulter immediately nominates Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania for Vice President, who wins approval of the House and Senate within two weeks and is sworn in the same day.

Hillary Clinton is imprisoned for impersonating a President.  Ann Coulter is found where the insurgents have been holding her captive in San Francisco.

Since Ann Coulter is already the legitimate President, the election of Russ Feingold is ruled by the Supreme Court to be invalid, and the real Ann Coulter is sworn in as President by Chief Justice William Rehnquist.

President Coulter launches a counter offensive, telling the nation, "America will never surrender it's values to anyone.  We will not rest until we have restored America's greatness."

As the legitimate President, Coulter gains the support of the military leadership and the military itself.  The military is sent into every insurgent area of the nation, and brings down the forces of the rebellion.   

She announces that "those responsible for betraying the United States of America will be dealt with to the fullest extent of the law."

Dean, care to continue on with your story line about the CCCP threat?  This is getting interesting.

With six Presidents in two months, though, I don't understand who would want the job.

As things stand now, Rick Santorum is President, and he has nominated Bob Casey for Vice President, but Casey has not yet won House and Senate confirmation, if he ever does.

However, just as President Kucinich is beginning to make progress in this potentially disastrous situation involving the U.S., Russia, and China, scandal hits the Oval Office once again.

It has been revealed that in fact Dennis Kucinich has been Rick Santorum's gay lover for the past two years.  Faced with irrefutable evidence, Kucinich confirms this.

President Kucinich goes on national television and announces......

Meanwhile, on the domestic political front, congressional leaders tell President Kucinich that there is "no way in a million years" that they will ever, EVER, approve "that Sheehan character" for Vice President. 

Kucinich withdraws Sheehans name, and nominates Republican Congressman Chris Shays of Connecticut for Vice President.

Says the President, "I urge Congress to approve Congressman Shays as Vice President post haste.  I have a war to conduct."

That same day, the House conducts one hour of hearings, then the Senate conducts one hour of hearings, and Chris Shays is sworn in as Vice President the same day.

A day later, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island ask Stephen Harper for permission to become part of Canada.

Harper gives his permission, "providing that Ted Kennedy is sent to Utah, and is forced to run for the U.S. Senate from there."

However, after it is discovered that Kylie Minogue is in fact not a dead President, she is disqualified from the Presidency.

She is replaced by the robot with the transplanted brain of dead President Chester A. Arthur.

...to bring Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Paraguay under their control, and the rich resources that go with them.  "We now have nuclear weapons.  Surrender now, or we will obliterate you."

Meanwhile, back in Canada, Stephen Harper is rallying the troops.  "We will take back our beloved homeland," he tells Canadians.  They begin their march from St. Johns, Newfoundland, through Atlantic Canada, with thousands upon thousands joining the cause along the way.  "Join me," says Harper, "and together we will make Canada great again."  The ever increasingly large army moves into Quebec, their momentum is unstoppable.  They roll through Ontario, the prairie provinces, gaining more supporters every step of the way, and finally into British Columbia.  "United we stand," says Harper from Victoria, British Columbia.

...springs Stephen Harper from Alcatraz.  He goes to Tokyo where he leads the now exiled Canadian government.

Meanwhile, in Washington, DC, actor Adam Sandler lays claim to the U.S. Presidency, and starts a counter-revolutionary movement to restore order to the country.
