Biden does not run in 2012 and Obama replaces him with, by then, former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.

I'm going to say Obama loses to Mitt Romney in an extremely close election as inflation concerns and a still soft economy are the focus of the average American voter. That and the usual GOP fear mongering with terrorism may work a little again.
