Senator Sue Lowden sends her condolences to the Brown family, as well as cancel all events for the week. She then books a flight to Massachusetts to see the family.

Lowden spends the day in Massachusetts with the Brown family. The media is closed off, though one reporter snags a photo of Gail and Sue in an embrace. Lowden states afterward that she can't even think of the campaign now, and out of respect for the Brown family, will not campaign for several more days.

Senator Lowden stops by Iowa, before traveling to Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio.

My friends, the future for America is dim. A socialist, liberal agenda has been shoved down our throats. It's time to stand up to that, for the sake of America! Under a Lowden administration, we will have a smaller government; no more wasteful spending or programs that are a waste. A key part of my plan will be to cut earmark spending! With that extra money, we will give tax breaks to American homes and businesses. A brighter economy is just around the corner. Let's elect the right leaders so we can get around that corner!

Senator Lowden speaks to a crowd in Burlington, Iowa...

We can win this state! Polls currently show us close here, and I believe we can if we all pitch in to work hard, and let Iowans know what a Lowden administration would do for them. A Lowden administration would give you tax breaks, a lower national defict, and better schools for your children. We can make America great again, and I believe my conservative principles will.

Senator Sue Lowden campaign with Governor Whitman and National Right to Life organizers in Florida. Sue hopes that a strong showing in Florida can prove that she is in fact that most well-rounded candidate.

Friends, I believe we can win Florida. I believe we can win Maine and Hawaii. And friends, I think we can win this nomination!

Senator Sue Lowden thanks a crowd in Florida for their support...

Though we did not emerge on top tonight, we have made a huge statement by showing that we can compete with Mr. Cantor in the South! Now, I urge you all to continue the fight with me, and we can make America a stronger nation!
- Sue Lowden

Lowden then makes stops in Maine, California, and Illinois in a 2-day swing.

Senator Sue Lowden campaigns with Sarah Palin in Illinois, speaking about the history that could be made...

Ladies, we have another opportunity to shatter this glass ceiling once in for all! 3 lovely ladies have put millions of cracks in it. But friends, I believe I can break that ceiling! Get out on primary day, and vote for a strong woman who will lead this country well! Now is our moment in time, to rise up as one body of conservative women, ready to elect one of our own to the nation's highest office. The time is now to get finished what began decades ago!

- Sue Lowden

After the speech, Lowden plans stops in California and Hawaii...

I would like to give a warm thanks to everyone who has voted for me thus far, and those who plan on voting for me in the future. After recent results, it's great to see us with a delegate lead. I ask you all to tell everyone you can to vote for a bright future. Thank you.

Sue Lowden continues to campaign hard, especially in California with a focus on education...

Friends, unlike Mr. Cantor, I value education, public and private. We will support higher funding for education, and not go against good funding for public education like Speaker Cantor has. We must invest in our youth, not take away.

Sue Lowden places a call to Mr. Brady...

"Thank you very much for endorsing me. Sadly, it hasn't taken too much of a hold in these primaries, but hopefully it will help in the general election. Thanks again, and good luck in life!"

Sue Lowden then plans stops in North Dakota, Illinois, and Deleware.

Sue Lowden places a call to her campaign manager, only to get an answering machine...
"Tim, this is fairly important. We can't continue on like this without a change in strategy. We still managed to lose North Dakota, despite leading in the polls, making more stops than Cantor, and having the endorsement of popular Senator John Hoevan. Possibly a change in campaign management."

A disgruntled Sue Lowden heads to Minnesota, where she will be hosting several rallies through the state.

Sue Lowden makes a speech in Illinois, following her quick tour of Minnesota...

In my administration, we will tackle the major challenges facing this country. We will be specific, and direct. We will lay out a clear, conservative vision for the future of America. As President , I will focus on heavily five areas: The economy, education, terrorism, health care, and government reform.

For starters, I will spend less, tax less, and borrow less. Taxes have increased and government has grown. Over the last eitht years, Obama has added millions of works to the federal payroll. That's not conservative. That's irresponsible. We can do better. It's time for results, not politics.

As President, I want to help create an education system that prepares our children for the jobs of tomorrow. To begin, we will no longer accept such high dropout rates. Our students deserve quality teachers who are well educated and trained, and schools where bad teachers aren't just transferred, but let go. But good teachers should be rewarded and they should have continuing opportunities for professional development. I will propose incentives for math and science teachers to earn a degree in what they teach.

It's time for a President for all of America. Join me and together we will make the America of tomorrow everything our children deserve. This is a special time in Illinois, and America. A time for principled leadership, reform, and results. We can do better, my friends. And together, we will!!!

Sue Lowden makes another stop in California, with her focus being on education and jobs...

Friends, California is the big prize, you all know that. With so much diversity, it gives every candidate a good idea on where they stand nationwide. Coming just across the border in Nevada, I realize many of the problems Californians are dealing with every day, and they will be addressed and worked on in a Lowden administration!

Sue Lowden makes a stop in Orange County...

Friends, a major difference between me and my opinion is that I am pro-Senior and he is not. I am thankful and grateful to all of the hardwork and dedication the elderly in this nation has done. Their commitment to their country in various ways has made this country what it is today. And when they're getting into their late 50's and early 60's, they start to tire out. We must reward them for their dedication, not make them slave away for another decade.
And Mr. Cantor, you talk about how children born in 2000 are expected to live to be 100. The elderly in today's society weren't born in 2000. They were born, well, a couple years earlier. Wink Why should they be forced into this dreadful "program" despite a much shorter life expectancy? I find your plan troubling, dangerous, and simply bad for the country.

The AARP organization has endorsed Sue Lowden for the Republican nomination...

After comments the last few days from both candidates, we feel that it is vital that Sue Lowden becomes the Republican nominee. Eric Cantor's plans are scary for the elderly in America, and we simply cannot afford a President Cantor. Sue Lowden offers a stronger and pro-elderly alternative.

Sue Lowden holds a rally in Urbana, Illinois...

Friends, enough is enough. For years now, Washington has been full of corrupt leaders who push through earmark after earmark. I can promise you right now, that if I am elected President, there will be no more earmark spending. We will be an open administration, and honorable administration, and an administration that puts the people of this great nation first!
- Sue Lowden

After the rally, Sue Lowden makes several stops in the Chicago suburbs before holding a small fundraiser in Chicago.

It's funny that Mr. Cantor would say that, specifically because he made comments very similar to mine about government being too big back in December. Did you see me make a statement about it? No. Why? Because Mr. Cantor and I, like many other conservatives out there, are deeply concerned about the way this country is headed. We cannot afford more back and forth attacks during this primary, for America's sake.
