I'd certainly love to get more into the weeds of this, but due to months of little/no action, we are at a point where we have to get something passed to avoid another continuing resolution or risking a shutdown. I applaud all of those who worked very hard to get this version before Congress - it isn't where we want to be, but is certainly a leap in the right direction.
I ask Congress to quickly approve this before the April 30th deadline. Once approved, I look forward to getting discussions for the 2020 budget underway early so that we have plenty of time to adequately debate next years' budget - budget debates are one of the highlights of the game!
