You people are aware that the electoral vote allocation will change between now and 2012, aren't you?  Because using 2008 electoral vote totals on the maps doesn't make sense.

Yeah, I know. But on this site, it hasn't changed. I think it gets better for Republicans, but I'm not sure.

Mint is a hack...
Wink
That looks very similar to the mock election on here, actually.
I do agree, that I think 2012 could be a great year for Republicans. And as the world continues to struggle, I'll expect 2016 to be a great year for Democrats.

And if anyone thinks I'm being a hack, I'd be predicting a similar landslide for the opposition if McCain won too most likely. Frankly I'd be stunned if the economy picks up or even stays relatively close to where it is now. My guess is another devastating credit crunch by 2010 and maybe an international crisis like Pakistan imploding for good measure.

Why do you have a democratic avatar?

(Did I already ask you this? Huh)
Because in real life, he's a registered Democrat.

With Obama approval ratings in the 30s...

Obama vs Gingrich

Obama vs Romney

Obama vs Palin

Obummer in 20s approval rating and failure...

Obama vs average Republican vs moderate Independent

The first 3 maps are extremely Pro-Obama. If he had approval ratings in the 30's Gingrich and Romney would have a comfortable lead, while Palin would be neck and neck with Obama. I mean, you put Florida for Obama against Gingrich. Obama's approval ratings are already low in the state. Just think what will happen to them there if his national approval rating drops 20-30 points.
Also, if his approval ratings were in the 20's, I doubt he woud even with the primaries, and if he did, it would be a 45 state landslide.
