I saw some crazy sh**t on YouTube how irrational/imaginary numbers were the natural byproducts of trying to explain the universe in post-Euclidean, post-Newtonian terms.  

Damn. No wonder you STEM people give birth to autistic babies.  Way above my head, bruh.   Gimme the cliff notes.
