It has been shown that surveys are mostly drawn up in large cities and Democrat bastions, they are not reliable. Honest and hardworking people know the truth.
Seriously...when are we going to ban this idiot? Isn't this supposed to be at least a somewhat serious political forum?

I'm sure you want a unitary Democrat forum. You almost did it with Mondale and its daily anti-trump threads or even moderators who insult the historic flag of the south
I don't. Infact, I'd like for there to be more republicans and conservatives on this forum. I don't like infobubbles. But since this is a forum for serious debate and analytics the posters here ought to be at least partly grounded in reality.

Trump below 50 in a state that is crawling with deplorables. Amazing.

Too bad that Zogby is a junk level pollster. I was liking those results.

Gallup:

Dissaprove: 58% (-3)
Approve: 36% (+2)

Looks like I was wrong, he is getting a Harvey boost. I'm doubtful it will be much though. Might break 40% again but that's it.

Well, these are already obsolete. Thanks to dummy's DACA decision.

I'm pretty sure the people who still approve of Trump are already on his side in the culture wars, and of the ones who disagree with the DACA decision, it probably wouldn't be enough to push them into disapproval.
Indeed. Actually acting on his campaign promises in the culture wars should only strengthen him amongst his base.

Still a little disheartening to see that 77% of O/T voters still support Chief Orange-Face.
Another depressing takeway is that only 6% of all Trump voters actively regret voting for him. That's an astoundingly small number given how much of a trainwreck his presidency has been.

6% of Trump voters regretting their choice is huge. If his national vote share drops from 46% to 43% (what that would indicate), well, that's the whole ball game right there.
Not really. They didn't ask how many Clinton voters regretted voting for her. It might very well be in the same ballpark. Some proportion of the public shift their votes from election to election, that's why we even have Obama/Trump voters. In that sense, and particularly taking into account how horrible the Trump presidency is, 6% is a really small number.

EPIC/MRI, Michigan:

Job performance -- negative, 62%.

Michiganders questioning  the mental stability of the President. -- 43% unstable, 45% stable

More effective: Obama 56%, Trump 32%

Investigations against him a "witch-hunt" -- agree 34%, disagree 55% (disagreement is hostile to the President's credibility)

Worry about the President handling North Korea -- 38% very worried, 15% somewhat worried

Overall

36% favorable, 58% unfavorable

I do not use favorability polls anymore, so this will not appear on the map. But there is new data to show some flavor to the perception of the President.

http://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2017/09/06/michigan-poll-president-trump-mental-health/634859001/

Perhaps my favorite part of this poll is the guy in charge of administering it is named Bernie Porn.

Best name in polling, LOL!

Man, the ridicule that anybody from that family must endure. I hope he doesn't name his daughter Lolita or Granny or something creepy like that.

Anybody else surprised by how well Trump is holding up in New Mexico, Virginia and Minnesota (at least compared to the rest of country)
Yes, but margin of error and everything.

If the Dems nominate the right candidate and Trump is still on the ballot 2020 could really be the election Texas turns blue (or red in Atlas colors).

You will not live to see that, because of the political polarization even if they do not like Trump not vataran for a Democrat

It's well known Texas will be a blue state in the future. The growing minority population will be too much for the GOP to adapt.

That is a nonsense myth, everyone knows that most of that "minority population" never votes for laziness or for being illegal
I don't know how bad things are in FYROM, but we don't have parties that support those things here.

I know right? What a ridiculous statement, even for a troll, lol.
I don't think he is a troll. He's seems to be a genuinely authentic moron.

Gallup (September 23rd)

Approve 40% (+3)
Disapprove 54% (-2)

-

surging! first time at 40% since i believe, beginning of july

What could be causing it? Could this be all noise or is the country lunging back to the right?
Return to the mean. We saw it constantly during the election campaign. Every time Trump didn't do something catastrophically idiotic his poll numbers would go back up. This was why I remained sceptical about Clinton winning throughout. It was very clear that people just needed an excuse - any excuse - to vote for Trump. This is also why the Comey letter was so effective - it provided the excuse needed for many republicans.

However, I do take come comfort in the fact that Trumps "strongly disapprove" numbers are usually 50+%.

Half of the Americans do not know about Puerto Rico and honestly a large part considers them an economic burden

We help our fellow Americans, even if they're economic burdens. That's kind of the whole point. If a hurricane hit Mississippi, we're not going to say they shouldn't be helped because "they're an economic burden." That's just ludicrous. Puerto Ricans are Americans, that's all that matters.
Yes. But for once Daniel is right. Most americans and certainly republicans probably don't give two sh*ts about Puerto Rico.
