I, the Deputy Secretary of Forum Affairs, do hereby declare the District 1 Senate Special Election created by the resignation of Senator Supersoulty as follows:

There were 14 regular ballots and 1 absentee ballot cast.

By law, I am required to discount the following votes:

Frodo (Ten day rule - had not been resident in District on tenth day before election began)

For the record, I have decided to count I-Spy's vote as having no first preference, but will redistribute it according to the stated second preference.

The distribution of first preferences was as follows:

MHS2002 - 5
LiberalPA - 6
(Write in) Keystone Phil - 1
(Write in) The Late Rev. Donald Sope - 1
No first preference stated - 1

(Keystone Phil and The Late Rev. Donald Sope eliminated for non-acceptance of write-in candidacy; Vote with no first preference redistributed)

MHS2002 - 7
LiberalPA - 7

Neither candidate has a majority of these preference votes. A runoff election will be held between MHS2002 and LiberalPA beginning at midnight at the start of the coming Friday.
