The McCaffery spending advantage is very evident on the ground. I’ve seen nothing but pro-McCaffery and anti-Carluccio ads on TV and YouTube. And McCaffery’s signs outnumber Carluccio’s in my Trump +18, suburban Pittsburgh township.

Who do you think wins the race for County Exec? I think Innamorato probably still has it but it might be within single digits.

I voted a little after 2PM. Voted straight Dem on all the judicial races and local posts.

I also ended up voting for Innamorato despite some reservations. Going into 2024, I want to make sure that "alternate elector" DeMarco doesn't doesn't have a chance of getting de facto control of the Allegheny BOE. Rockey's attempts to distance himself from the GOP were also too cute by half given the flood of outside money from GOP megadonors that financed his campaign.

I'm still impressed by the Dem performance in Westmoreland and Washington. I know that the Westmoreland Dems in particular had a good absentee ballot GOTV campaign but I didn't think I'd see as many blue precincts as I did in the Mon Valley.

I guess I'll vote for DePasquale tomorrow. I looked into all the other candidates but, tbh, none of them impressed me all that much.

I might also lodge a protest vote against Summer Lee but she's obviously going to win by a convincing margin. This had the potential to be a competitive race several months ago but Lee has done a fair job at consolidating establishment support and isolating Patel since then. I'm still occasionally annoyed by her performative antics but at least she's better than Bush and Tlaib.

I ended up voting for Biden, Patel, DePasquale, Bizarro, and Kenyatta. Someone from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette tried to interview me as I left but I declined.

Unless election day votes break decisively towards one of the other candidates, I'm pretty sure Depasquale has this.
