I think you posted a similar article in the VA-Gov thread before the election.

I think the term we're looking for is "prejudice".

How has the race become nationalized? Trump had always been involved, right from then very start. And how is it similar to Ossoff? Jones didn't start ahead, and there were no scandals in the GA-06 special.

Not the best analogy.

"Social justice warriors that hate Christians" is just another way of saying you hate equal rights for people who aren't you. Sorry.

It would be fair at least - One solid liberal goes, one solid conservative goes.

What has IceSpear done that is banworthy besides the TMI road trip tell-all?
All icespear does is crap on West Virginia and the south as a whole.

That sucks. Sucks even more when a political party does that same thing to muster up support and rally their base.

Alabama Republicans always had permission to vote for Moore. It's just that doing so would mean they're voting for a man that had preyed on young girls.

I see Greedo has decided to impersonate Elizabeth Dole circa 2008 now. Lovely.

There is no gawd.

Some friends who are working internally for various different groups tell me that Lee Busby polls surprisingly well for a write-in with little media attention - I'm hearing mid/upper single digits. No consensus yet on which candidate he hurts more.

Interesting but I doubt it materializes into anything when people have their ballot and actually have to write a name in. With the polls that were done by that had Strange as a write-in, it hurt Moore much more fwiw.

Maybe Moore should've diddled some more kids if he was always going to get away with it.

That is the whole point.  You have no proof he diddled any kid in the last 40 years.

I don't know why defending a kiddy diddler is the hill you want to die on.

One of the accusers dug up a graduation card signed by Moore and it was verified by a forensics specialist.

I think no matter who wins, it will be solely on the voters, and no one else.

It's stupid that they have a straight ticket option when there's only one race on the ballot though. Waste of ink.

Looks like all that talk of "Moore momentum" in this race was basically just hot air, see also VA-GOV.

Not really. In Virginia, there were plenty of polls showing Northam's lead expanding while the media and Atlas were jizzin up a storm about Gillespie surging. People didn't pay attention. The polls are actually trending in Moore's direction now after that two-week period.

Northam's lead shrunk going into the final week, and then he made a few missteps, and then the final weekend he recovered some. Most polling was off though, except gold standard Quinipiac.

Anyone has any ideas how a Jones victory county would look like?

I honestly have no clue, but :

No way Jones wins Shelby, but keeping the margin small is important in his path to victory.

The most annoying thing to read is people's crappy #takes before an election is even over. VA-Gov was full of them.

Fwiw, I think Jones has a good shot at winning, and if he does, a lot of people will be saying that it was obvious all along.

All she did was add the date and location. How is this controversial?

I don't think it is but it let's people cast doubt on her and the other victims' accounts.

Interesting. A Moore +7 poll followed by a Jones +8 poll in the same day.
