Really now, the idea that 'poor candidates' mattered in the House just doesn't pass the smell test.

So if Republicans won something like 224 seats that'd be a red wave? LOL.



Sarah Palin. Bruce Poliquin. Jim Bognet. Madison Gilbert. Sandy Smith. Bo Hines. Paul Junge. Karoline Leavitt.

Just to name some other notables. The Democrat might have won regardless against a stronger opponent in some of these districts, but the point still stands. Candidate quality was bad for Republicans in the House. Just not as noticeable as it was in the higher profile gubernatorial and Senate races.
