There are so many similarities with 2004, it's amazing. The incumbent building up a huge margin in the convention season, the challenger making a comeback after a good debate performance but still falling short of winning, in the end turnout making all the difference. The way Romney has been defined by the Obama campaign is also basically the same as how Bush and Rove defined Kerry.
