Seriously, this state has two moderate Republican Senators, two Democratic congresspeople, a Republican Governor, and it switches back and forth between Democrats and Republicans in the state legislature, often splitting tickets during elections.

Also, Independents do very well in Maine.

So is Maine just a "moderate hero's" paradise?
