Republicans are really reaching to say that Mueller has vindicated Trump or his team.

But that doesn’t by itself mean that Trump is guilty of no wrongdoing. “No collusion!” is a shifting goalpost that Republicans have set up for themselves. But Trump can still be guilty of obstruction of justice even if there was no collusion. Why do none of the blue avatars here get this? If he took deliberate steps to sandbag an ongoing investigation, even if it was just because the investigation wounded his ego, then that is obstruction.

They get it - they just don't care. Republicans simply do not debate in good faith in the era of Trump.

I'm assuming it will simultaneously leak that it's exonerating and very bad, and there will be two parallel realities among Americans based on their preconceived beliefs

Any other president whose investigation led to dozens of indictments, including several members of his inner circle, would be doomed by this. Teflon Trump is going to spin the fact that he isn't personally leaving the White House in chains today as a win, and it looks like that narrative is going to win out.

So it's pretty safe to assume that Barr swept something under the rug if we don't get the full report, right?

2+ years of the Mueller investigation yields nothing, but the Ukranian AG finds tangible evidence against Hillary Clinton of collusion with a Ukranian citizen to influence the U.S. elections.

Okay.  So no collusion.  Now we pin our hopes to obstruction of justice.  A crime for which we have no concrete evidence to substantiate aside from our own opinions and emotional outbursts.  We base our allegations on body language examinations and poker psychoanalysis we conducted while Whitaker was testifying before congress. We Democrats are no more credible or detestable than Nancy Grace.  Hope we win in 2020.  All of our candidates are now toxic, but hopefully white man, I mean Biden, will save us.

Perhaps, if we work hard enough, we can link Trump to the Jussie Smolett hoax, lol.

Please stop embarrassing yourself , fuzzy. It's genuinely embarrassing to watch.

That you say I'm embarrassing myself is usually a sign that I'm on the right track.

It's fascinating how the Republican rank and file has gone full-on 1984 and believe that Mueller actually said the literal opposite of what he said, all because Trump tells them that.
