After receiving PMs from Pacificans urging me to do so, I've announced that I will be a candidate for the Pacific Council in the election this Thursday. I've got a long history of service in the Pacific region, from serving as the region's Governor for two terms that I remember fondly, more recently as the federal Pacific Senator representing the region in Nyman, and a brief, interrupted spell as regional Justice. And now I'm running for the Council, itself a direct descendant of an idea I proposed during my time as your Governor, to keep the Pacific moving forward.
We in the Pacific need to stop the bickering and concentrate on improving the region. Whatever my opinions of the Progressive Union, I didn't vote to recall JacobTiver and PoliticsJunkie because of any problems with their service to the region - as far as I can tell they've been performing admirably - but in protest of the "recall culture" they seemed to be, however well-intentioned their motivations, contributing to with their recall attempt on NMAM councillors just days before a general election was due to be held. I don't think that helps the Pacific, but if they are retained and re-elected, as seems likely, I will put aside my disagreements to work with them to build a stronger region. We're all Pacificans, after all.
It's good to be back in my home region. Please feel free to ask any questions or PM me directly.
