It's awkward. I'm someone who's in a position where I've lost most of my investment/interest in "politics", yet not to the extent where I've stopped posting altogether. That's largely manifested itself in a paucity of "contributions", more snarkiness and less patience for the practices of the forum in general - Opinion of [random Senator from the 70s] threads, etc. - which I'm all well aware of.

I will say that one of the strange things I've noticed recently is that some (mainly the pro-opebo people) seem to have this idea that I'm sitting at home furiously typing out missives on why certain posters should be banned. The posters I'd like to ideally see banned is actually a pretty short list. Just to be clear, the multitude of times I've said "mods please ban" or whatever were not serious. I'm surprised anyone thought so.

Anyway ideally if I really am going to stick around here (I like to think I'm not but so do we all...) I'd "contribute" more, but that gets difficult when your annoyance over the wilful ignorance of some is far more powerful than your fleeting interest in the topic at hand.

I agree that DevotedDemocrat seems not to be actively malicious in the way that you and NYE are but he's still a pest.
