No objection to the amendment but I’d question the principle behind this legislation - infrastructure spending is a popular hobby horse but is as often as not promoted by self-interested engineering lobbies - is the sponsor aware of compelling evidence for the value of high speed rail, specifically in an Atlasian context, and whether we can avoid simply creating a panel to line the pockets of construction and transport bodies?
