I will be running for the Midwest region senate seat. Should the registration deadline have passed then I will accept write-in votes.

Well I'm already the RPP Senator of the Midwest and there's 3 RPP members in the Midwest. Not sure if we're going to have a primary or not now.

I am an independent, though senator Pit frequently mentions me as one of his "recruitees", so to speak, because I am libertarian leaning. Though I am officially registered as an independent.

Ah, ok. I missed that changing back to an independent.

Yeah, I was RPP for about 5 minutes than I changed my mind.

So now all but one of the regional senate elections are uncontested?

Hooray, regionalism!

Actually, the Mideast one is contended.

At the very least Hamilton's efforts will add some sort of competition, which is undoubtedly helpful for the game. Just because a region is dominated by one party doesn't mean an upstart challenger can't give it his all. That means a healthier game and could even promote similar actions throughout the game.

It's very possible he could win. In recent times one can point to Smid and MasterJedi (a few months ago, before the RPP influx into the region).

Of course. The Pacific voters could very well vote him in, regardless of his party affiliation, because they see a new member looking to be involved and engaged. Whether he wins or loses, it's a hopeful sign for Atlasia to have new members disregarding the conventional wisdom.

Agreed.

I will not be seeking election to re-election to a subsequent term of office in the senate of which I am residing. This does not not mean that I will be running again, but rather to not delay the inevitable not of which I will be running.

Wait, what?

After putting much thought into it, I've decided to run for an at-large Senate seat this December.

As far as running for reelection goes, the gubernatorial election in the Midwest starts a week after the national one does, so if I do not win a Senate seat, I'll probably run for reelection. But until then, I won't declare anything.
