I'm not quite sure how you go from "compulsive liar Courtney Love once called into the Howard Stern Show and claimed she gave him a blowjob at age 12 although he didn't know her age" to "self-confessed-pedophile."

I believe they are referring to another incident in 1978 when Nugent had a 17 year old Hawaiian chick living with him while he was touring.  He went to her parents and asked to be her legal guardian, lol.
I should note though that this was back when Ted Nugent wasn't the insane man he is now and was a pretty chill motherf***er.

Of course, if this is what was being referred to I must comment on the ridiculousness of many Americans in regards to what they consider "pedophilia".  A 17 year old girl is no fInksing child, regardless of how many infraction points this will get me.  Sure, in the eyes of the law it is illegal, but there is very little discernible difference at all between a 17 year old and an 18 year old.  Well except that at 18 you can kill people, vote, and smoke cigarettes.

Which isn't to say that I love Ted Nugent and think he's a swell guy.  He made okay music back in the day, nothing real extraordinary though.  He seemed to be a pretty generic 1970's (insert: it would be relevant to note that the generic 1970's hard rocker is better than 99.999987% of bands that come out now days[) hard rocker guy who only stood out for being a bit more bold and racy with the lyrics.  This isn't to say that bands like Aerosmith and AC/DC weren't real racy, but could you see Robert Plant, Steven Tyler, or even Bon Scott sing a song called "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang"?  Lord no.  About a decade ago people still knew Nugent for his music, however with his big mouth he seems to become more well known for just saying outrageous sh*t (though he's been doing that for decades, just with different things).  I got to give him credit though, he's a lot more honest and open about how he thinks than a vast majority of guys in his line of work.

And in regards to this poll, which was asking about Nugent vs. Springsteen, it's a very easy Springsteen vote here.  I realize a lot of people are voting mostly based on politics, but he's the fInksing Boss man.  He's like a Poor Man's Elvis!

EDIT: Inserted note to clarify how I viewed generic 1970's rockers.
