Why do we need this? Why do we need to specify how marriage is taught when there is a law that already says what is legal and illegal?

I don't particulaly see the reason for schools discussing marriage in general. It's not the state's responsibility to impart lifestyles onto its citizens - especially while they are in school when they are developing as individuals. The expecption of course being when the state has a real need to avert negative behavior that would have a dangerous impact on the safety community as a whole.

That being said, I suppose there is a case to ensure that students are informed of the actual legal situation in this issues, but I don't know if this is the proper field to do so.

I think legislating the specifics of what schools should or should not teach is an overreach on our part. I think teaching students about social institutions is fine -- just like teaching students about Islam, Christianity, Judiasm...etc, is also fine.

Of course, I think the curriculum should be relevant to the class, but this seems like something that can be handled on the local level. It doesn't merit regional attention or action.

We had a vote? I thought we just voted on moving the SOAP changes to the top of the queue?

Debate over. Please vote. You have the amount of time designated in the SOAP (I'll look later).

By a 3-1 margin, the "nay's" have it, and the Amendment to The Peace, Love, and Blessings Act has failed.

Napoleon has missed this vote.
