So, Gustaf, Bacon King, what do you say we take out the non-mods first?  Tongue

(Not a serious proposal)

Reinforce South Carolina, Arkansas, Tennessee. One batallion each.

Attack Alabama from Tennessee. If not immediately successful, continue attacking only until four batallions remain in Tennessee. If the attack succeeds, move three batallions to Alabama and leave the rest in Tennessee, regardless of the total number of batallions available.

Attack Georgia from South Carolina. If not immediately successful, continue attacking only until three batallions remain in South Carolina.  If the attack succeeds, move all available batallions to Georgia, leaving one in South Carolina.

Should either offensive fail under the above conditions, wait for further instructions. Otherwise, free move all but two batallions from Alabama to Tennessee, end turn and draw card.

One batallion to Alabama, two to Arkansas.

Attack Florida from Alabama, continue until no longer possible.

Attack North Carolina from Georgia. Continue unless Georgia is reduced to 2, move all batallions from Georgia to North Carolina.

Await further instructions.

Looks like my Alabama lieutenant is going to be out of a job.

Attack Mississippi from Arkansas. If victorious, place as many batallions as possible in Arkansas (use three dice for the attack). Continue attacking if need be unless Arkansas drops to two batallions. If this happens, stop and wait for further instructions. If not, free move one batallion from Tennessee to Georgia, draw card and end turn.

Minnesota and Michigan are FF states that do not require liberation.

You said it, not me. Grin

One batallion each to Georgia, Mississippi and North Carolina.

Attack Florida from Georgia - continue with as many dice as possible until Georgia is reduced to one batallion.

Await further instructions.

My orders are too verbose. I meant "DO OR DIE!"

But thanks for asking, Joe.

Time to load some dice...

Attack Virginia from North Carolina, do or die.

Free move one batallion from Tennessee to Georgia.

Take card, end turn.

Well, I guess it didn't matter if I took Florida or not, since I would have lost the bonus anyway.

Crunch time. Two to Virginia, one to Georgia.

Georgia - Florida do or die.

Virginia - Tennessee do or die. Split the batallions as evenly as possible between the two.

Await further orders.

Well, that could have gone better. Free move from Florida to Georgia, take card, end turn.

So between homelycooking and Bacon King, which is more likely to conquer the former Confederacy?

I think you have your answer.

Ouch. Homelycooking just doesn't have great luck.

But I finally won Florida! Cheesy Ka-ching, baby!

Well, that was disappointing. Whoever can avenge my annihilation by BK by denying him a second victory, I'm on your side. Tongue

Well, Teddy's probably thinking that there's not much of a chance of Mikado or BK risking a lot of batallions to wipe him out and take his (relatively few) cards. If he's planning something for his next turn, he'll be in just as good of a position, if not better, than he was before.

What is Gustaf planning on doing with those 21 armies in New York?  Is he waiting for either Lewis and/or Bacon King to come to them?

Sneak attack on Lewis via Ontario. Wink

Why didn't Gustaf take Mississippi and rob BK of his Southeast bonus?
