Freedom House and the Democracy Index both agree that Venezuela is 'partly free' (and worse than all her neighbors) which is about right. The Carter Center is a very flawed organization in numerous ways (most notably, they called the UAE "completely free and open", which I hope we can all agree isn't the case, though that has nothing to do with Venezuela), and the corruption in the Venezuelan system is plain for everyone to see.

I like that Xahar has turned up though, his inanities are always fun. Tweed's get stale after a while.
