We all need to learn that system that allows phonetic typing.  I'll do my best to explain, though, with a couple of different faux-phonetic combinations that are all meant to be pronounced the same.

lawn-jev-eh-ti
lawn-jehv-eh-ti

He's german, the "w" makes a "v" sound like in "Wehrmacht".

     Yeah, though are there any examples of that practice in English? Many letters have a multiplicity of pronunciations in the Englsih language, but those two really don't.
Not that I can think of, no.
