Newman will get a decent injection of cash from this, too.

I have decided to endorse Dan Lipinski in both the primary and general he is a true defender of the unborn and he does stand up to his party when they go to far.

#alllivesmatter

You do realize #alllivesmatter has nothing to do with abortion?
Well to me it does because aborting a baby is murder so in my view I support the babies right to live so yes.

#alllivesmatter

Also I in someways think abortion is actually racist so in that sense #blacklivesmatter
I cannot wait until you go to college and your whole worldview is shattered.

Margaret Sanger invented abortion

There was no way to terminate a pregnancy before Margaret Sanger

To bring the topic back to Dan Lipinski, he murdered 50,000,000 gays. Both sides do it.
How did he murder 50,000,000 gays?

Anyone who does not get the endorsement of the Human Rights Campaign is a contributor to anti-LGBT causes. Brad Schneider and Tammy Duckworth are fellow Illinoisans who are also guilty of this badge of shame.

The only reason HRC endorsed Kirk over Duckworth was to appear less partisan by endorsing a relatively LGBT Republican. Duckworth wasn’t anti-LGBT rights at all, so their endorsement of Kirk was strange, to say the least.
It was to avoid the "Democratic organization" label. Same reason why Gabby Giffords' gun control group endorsed Kirk and Toomey.

When I saw HRC I thought you meant Hillary.

Also: good. Get him out.

HRC should endorse anyone but Lipinski, as long as the Republican doesn’t support an anti-gay marriage amendment.
why?

Because Lipinski is opposed to women's rights, for one.
Kingpo means the Human Rights Campaign, not Hillary Clinton.

It voted for Bernie in the primary and it trended AWAY from the GOP. So it didn't go the way of PA-17 or WI-3 or MI. So it's obviously FINE with socially liberal candidates.
I know, people think this district is stuck in the 70s with the worst stereotypes of Polish trade unionists.

It's a liberal district and deserves a liberal representative.

I think Gillibrand should be disciplined by schumer and other democrats. You don't endorse someone to challenge someone in your own party.
Lipinski isn't a Democrat.

The district swung to the Democrats in 2016 and went for Bernie, who isn't pro-life or homophobic like Lipiniski.

This district deserves a progressive, and will elect one.

Newman can win this primary. No doubt about it.
Is it possible for Lipinski to replicate what Joe Lieberman did in 2006?
No. IL has a sore loser law.
So he would have to organize a massive write-in campaign?

Give it a rest dude. If your friend loses then he is finished. Done. Over. Caput. Finito.
He will be an ex-congressman.
Was just trying to quantify how much was riding on this primary. Newman is an abortionist who doesn't deserve to win.

Uh citation on the claim she’s an abortionist?
She is running a disgustingly pro-abortion campaign and her opponent is a supporter of the unborn who is also simultaneously a Democrat with a good record serving his district. The choice is obvious.
I wouldn't be shocked to see Newman vote to ditch the Hyde Amendment and back federal funding going to abortion-on-demand.
Stop making me like her even more.

Time to get another homophobe out of Congress.

Who never should've been there in the first place.

Damn! Just read Lipinski didn't endorse Obama for re-election in 2012. Whether one agrees with that or not, how in hell has he survived since then?

Because Rahm and the machine supported him and dissuaded anybody who ever thought to challenge him.

Rahm supported someone who wouldn’t endorse Obama? Please.
Rahm doesn’t care about anyone except Rahm

I can't wait for the machine to crush this progressive fantasy.  We don't need privileged North Side Liberals telling us how to vote.
Nothing more privileged than having daddy gift you a seat in Congress.

If his dad is allow to fix, and cheat to get him his seat in Congress, then progressives have every right to throw the absolute kitchen sink to kick him out of congress. There's a lot of chat on this thread about people from outside the district but look at this gem....

So not only did his Dad drop out after the primary, but he was then the one who helped make the decision to appoint his son, who hadn't lived in state since the 90s

I'm not sure where this is from, but I can't imagine it's true, since Lipinski was involved in Chicago politics throughout the 90s. It sounds like a straight-up lie.
It’s true.

She can’t come out against a sitting congressman with this much time remaining on the current Congress and with every chance Lipinski will be back next year.

She invested in a business and withdrew once she found out about the guy’s dubious background. Nothing but a desperate smear by Lipinski and his crew.
And of course that right-wing rag Tribune is running with it.

Yeah, I think Gillibrand's endorsement legitimized Newman as a candidate.
Yup. She endorsed before Gutierrez and Schakowsky did, too.

Leave it to the dee-trip to support the single worst candidate running as a Democrat this cycle.
