Agreed.  Jim Hood will be AG of Mississippi as long as he wants it (he's only 55, so its not unreasonable to think he could stay in the position for another decade or longer).  When he retires it will go R though.

What are the chances Jim Hoods retires by the time MS becomes competitive due to increasing black population?
That won't happen for awhile, there will be a white majority in the state until after he's long gone.

Maybe not.  Mississippi could be plurality Black by the early 2040s, when Hood would only be in his early 80s (old for a statewide official, but not unheard of).
