There has been rioting by Muslim youths in the Danish city of Arhus too. Yet another collective Muslim 'hissy fit' over non existent problems.
What riot?

Muslims ought to be expelled from the West. They seem to just cause trouble wherever they go.
Talk about a gross exaggeration. Some frustrated unemployed youngsters cause trouble and you want to expell all muslims. The wast majority of any religion doesn't cause any trouble and the reasons for the riots in the Parisian suburbs are not caused by religion nor does religion play any part in the riots

Of course, Islamic apologists are shrill in their criticism of standard methods of law enforcement, and are demanding instead less 'repression'. Also on their list of demands are more education, housing, jobs, and increased direct support. In true dhimmi style, political leaders are beating a path to the feet of Muslim community leaders to beg for forgiveness and guidance. In case you missed the point, here are the demands of Frances Muslim community to the proud French people:

1.      Should a Muslim decide to take the property of a Franco infidel, no non-Muslim may attempt to pursue or capture the alleged perpetrator, who is engaging in acts deemed halal (permitted) by the prophet Muhammad. (i.e. robbery, pillage, assault, murder, rape of non-believers)

2.      Muslim communities shall have the right to run their own affairs in accordance with Sharia laws and self-anointed thugs, ...er …enforcers.

3.      Law enforcement shall not enter nor impose any restrictions in Muslim areas. Violating this provision will subject the infidel imperial forces to any and all means to expel them.

4.      In accordance to the principals of jizya, law abiding working French citizens and businesses shall provide adequate education, jobs, subsidized housing, and welfare payments which are rightly due to Muslims by infidels from now to eternity.

5.      Civil rights and free speech shall be subservient to Islamic demands for respect and ultra-sensitivity to even the slightest hint of criticism.
Where do you get this BS from! There is no way that represent the the opinion of the vast majority of the muslims in France

Err, Paris has been on fire for over a week. I don't think it's a "gross exaggeration" to say that Muslim immigrants are "causing a problem."
Well, some suburbs are experiencing riots, most of Paris is quite calm - If gangs are shouting at each other in Queens, you don't say that all of New York is firing at each other

Gangs shouting at eachother? Sounds dangerous! Wink

rofl.

The difference is that the NYPD cops of 2005 would have hauled all the rioters in jail on the first day, instead of letting them go out and burn cars, buildings, etc., for nine days.
Okay okay it was very late at night Wink - But as Sam said those areas has just waited to explode for many years and have been ignored by local autorities and police like some areas in NY in the 80'ties

I don't think it's possible to know anything about the situation and be symphathetic towards either the rioters or the various branches of the French Government.
I agree completely

No doubt to be followed by the Jews, Blacks, Gypsies, Freemasons, socialist, trade unionists, and those that stabbed us in the back at Versailles. [/sarcasm]

One again we see the "tolerance" wing of Democratic Party.

Oh no, phknrocket1k just shows his tolerance and human insight by hating all muslims and blaming them for everything - my personal favorite was in another thread where he called the muslims "a cult." That has to be the biggest cult ever Wink

Riots aren't good PR. Trying to get integration is like putting a square peg in a round hole. It's just not going to happen. No matter what sort of concessions are made, people will always want more.

PS I mentioned the Danish riots a few days ago on here. I get the impression some people thought I was making it up Smiley
Lets put it this way  - It was barely mentioned in the Danish media, even the other major newspaper in Aarhus, Aarhus Stifttidende doesn't call it a riot and the local police called it what is was - a slight disturbance caused by some youngsters.

Jyllandsposten, the source of both Bonos links, are running an editorial line that are extremely anti-muslim and are hiding under the right to free speech, while they are doing their best to provoke the Danish muslim minority

Most of eastern europe has gotten a little tired of the french trying to run everything.

With the change in the German government, support for the french (anti-American) position in the EU seems to have fallen.

First of all, the French doesn't run the EU and the Franco-German axis has been pretty much defunk since the admission of Sweden, Finland and Austria and the fall of Koll. After all, Schröder and Chirac has very little in common

Second, just because somebody disagree with American policies, they are not "anti-american." Such a claim is just a simplistic as claiming that all Americans are overweight burger eating ignorants who believe that Denmark is the capital of Sweden and wonder why the English has used so many American city names (Hey Bob, they forgot the New in New York)

Third, just because the rightwing Poles would like do run the EU (or at least get as much money as possible) doesn't mean that the Eastern European memberstates en bloc supports this
