Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Lol you’re so butthurt about aid passing that you make this thread? 😂

I mean, at a certain point we just have to conclude that they like and are rooting for Putin, don't we?

Democrats have no reason to save him.

They kind of do; he included them in the process at a juncture where McCarthy arrogantly told them to pound sand and then demanded their support anyway. This is how the game is played, and I say this as a Mike Johnson hater.

What's more beneficial to Democrats: Saving Johnson or having House Chaos 6 months before the Election? I think you know the answer to that.

I'm more interested in what's most beneficial to the country and the world.

Boehner survived the first 2015 Speaker vote without incident because of a couple dozen Democratic abstentions/absences, so they wouldn't even have to vote against a motion to vacate per se.

How is it Christian to prolong and send young men to die for a war with a foregone conclusion?

It's only "a war with a foregone conclusion" if we stop sending aid, like you and MTG want us to, because you and MTG like and are rooting for Putin.

I'm enjoying watching Haley/Ryan argue in apparent seriousness that over 700,000 US citizens should continue to lack Congressional representation because of the lines of work that many of them are in, but you're right; it isn't.

This just makes the fact that Democrats axed McCarthy look silly.
Why? It's a night and day difference in how he acted and Johnson did.

Yeah, though it's interesting Johnson was seen as more right-wing and pro-MAGA. McCarthy was just a shameless opportunist who didn't have a backbone (see his flip flopping January 6).

Johnson is still more right-wing and pro-MAGA, but there's a pre-ideological level of "cares about the country and doesn't want it to come apart at the seams to sate his ego" on which he beats McCarthy.
