Governor Beebe in Ashtabula, Ohio:

"...You know, we're seeing a rebound of manufaturing here and all over the Midwest. Part of this is thanks to the rescue of the auto industry in 2009, and part is due to the generally improving economy. But we don't want to reverse that progress. Sandoval believes we should bring manufacturing back by lowering the corporate tax, which I would accept as long as we also crack down on tax evasion through the use of loopholes and tax havens. He also thinks that we should also sacrifice wages and the right to organize because it benefits his friends. As Vice President, I'll work with both labor and business to find the best balances between workers' rights and business interests."

Governor Beebe in Pueblo, Colorado:

"You know, the biggest claim repeated by Sandoval and Christie is that the stimulus package failed, and the economy somehow improved despite Obama. Down in Arkansas, we'd call that something I shouldn't say with cameras around *audience laughs*. Truth is, the Congressional Budget Office estimates that the stimulus created over 3 million jobs, and though it only slowed down overall job loss, it contributed to the recovery phase we're in. The American Jobs Act of 2013 created over 1 million jobs, and the vote on that shows how partisan the Republicans are. These are basic, bipartisan elements--tax credits on small businesses, investment in infrastructure, and closing tax loopholes. But Republicans have been so determined to destroy the Obama presidency that they've tried to block anything he supports. In 2010, they even filibustered an aid bill to 9/11 first respondents."
