How would this election have gone?

Jane Harman, who was elected governor of California in 1998 and 2002 is the democratic nominee. She declined to run in 2004 as she felt she had an obligation to finish her term. Obama is the person she narrowly defeated in the primaries and she offered him the vp spot as a consolation prize. Harman's claim to fame was that California was no 1 in job creation for much of her tenure as governor. She also believes that this ticket proves that the democratic party is a diverse coalition as she is a women and is jewish and Obama is african american. Huckabee, like Harman, also picked the runner-up in the primaries, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.
