Just to back-up my own assertion a bit:

Edwards won CBS's poll of uncommitted voters, 41-28.
Edwards won among undecided voters in the Democracy Corp poll, 43-25.
Edwards won among independents in the Democracy Corp poll, 37-34.
Edwards apparently won among independents in the ABC poll, 43-34 (although I can't confirm this figure).

Sorry Nick, incorrect on the independents in the ABC poll.

ABC News article on VP debate winner

As for Democracy Corp, their leader currently worksin the Kerry campaign.  They have to be considered at least  a little suspect.  Would you trust a poll put out by Karl Rove?

Another interesting thing about CBS, last debate they included a section on how their "uncommitted " voters were voting before the debate (heavily pro-Kerry).  This time they did no such thing.  last time they got blasted for having such a biased pool of "uncommitted" voters.  Looks like they learned their lesson and decided to not let the public now how comitted their uncomitted voters are this time.
