With hindsight, Nixon. definately.

I just can't imagine BRTD, a socialist Dem, supporting Nixon. Even if he dislikes LBJ, I just can't see him doing it. He'd probably be the ONLY socialist in America to support Nixon.

Off topic sort of...BRTD, who would you have supported as the Dem nominee in 1968? McCarthy or RFK?

JFK's two biggest mistakes:

1-appointing McNamara
2-selecting LBJ

had he went with someone other than LBJ he would've lived.

If he didn't select LBJ, he wouldn't have won Texas and would have lost the election. Then again...I wouldn't mind! Smiley
