The voice at the end is really my voice, though. Smiley

Very presidential. Smiley

'Lure' people into the profession of teaching? Wink

The platform goes into more depth.

Ah, but no one has the time to read the platform... Wink

True, our platform was a bit long-winded. I think that specifics are more good than bad, however.

That depends entirely on what the specifics are, i.e. whether people agree with them or not...I'd like to quote Boren's Law:

"When in doubt, mumble"

(as opposed to, "When in doubt, send in the marines!") Wink

Well, perhaps "lure" doesn't sound the greatest.... Basically what I meant is that I want to make sure that they aren't lured into other professions because they can't make enough money in teaching. Pay teachers the same salary that other people with the same education would make, so that there is no disincentive to go into teaching.

Hm, I still think that you really meant fooling poor exchange students with false promises and make them work under sub-standard conditions in state schools. Tongue Wink

The Atlas Forum wants leadership. I have clear proposals and ideas. I will not mumble, rather I will speak my mind, stand on principle, and show true leadership. Smiley

True, obviously positions that are too extreme are not good, but I still think that if one side is offering clear proposals and the other isn't, people will tend (all else being equal of course) to look more favorably on the side with the clear plan.

I don't think that an ABN campaign will work. Smiley

I am not aware of any such thing as an ABN campaign...one of your senators is proposing ABG, and many members from all across the political spectrum seem to view things that way.

But sure, go ahead abd be crystal clear and honest...we'll see what the voters want! Cheesy Wink
