Truly shameful: I remember building two consecutive surplus-laden budgets myself that led to a framework of responsible budgetary procedures in the years that followed. Now, after three years of mostly Federalist rule, the deficit is sky-high! Cry

The deficit is sky high because of the reset. We inherited all of the deficts of the RL situation in May June 2016.

THAT WAS THREE YEARS AGO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE PARTY OF FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY THAT HAS MORE OR LESS CONTROLLED THE GOVERNMENT THIS ENTIRE TIME

So regardless of the quality of those budgets, it should be noted that you also indirectly eliminated them by helping to pass the fourth constitution. Remember that the next time you are crowing about your Presidency. Tongue

Yes, I was the last President of one era and the first of another - truly a breathtaking occasion in between my broader effort to save the game.

And yes, there were major problems that transpired pre-reset, mainly that the GM numbers were often wishful thinking and didn't really mesh well with often sky high unemployment and other numbers that the GM offices were putting out in many of those years.

Nix and I specifically did our best to formulate a realistic budget beginning in 2013 - I can't help it that people (including yourself) raised no substantial qualms with it at the time, and certainly cannot help the fact that I was chased out of the GM Office during my second stint because of anti-alien hysteria!
