Using The People in the Pacific constitution was wolfentoad's awful use of the concept, The People.  I'd prefer not to associate such, as The People constitute every region, and every facet of government.  That is all.

Also, we already have this, protecting privacy, albeit, loosely. ;

However, any blanket amendment to just say "right to privacy" is going to ultimately lead to ambiguity, and annoying bestiality drama [see Northeast].

So who is the sponsor of this amendment now?

I will take over, if need be.

I'm going to need a little time to consider the amendment regarding impeachment of the Governor and councilors.  I'm not completely convinced the Justice should be involved.  Also, I feel citizens should be able to petition for recall as well.

It doesn't seem like anyone else wants to collaborate.  For the sake of having further discussion here, what's the reasoning behind not allowing recall elections?

Both amendments are friendly.  I am a strong proponent of special elections for council as well, for the record.

This text confuses me.  I thought we were going to create special elections for council vacancies?  Why would the Governor be appointing anyone via the first sentence?  This says, "The Governor may appoint".  So, I have discretion?

Also,  this text should be fixed.

Having a confirmation hearing every two months might be unwieldy.

Indeed.  It should, in the very least, be every other council session.

Also, I'd be willing to continue contributions to this discussion despite my return to the NE, if welcomed.
