Clinton's nominal lead not enough in South Dakota to call. 50.13 cap for Bernie with 21 percent in.

NM still TCTC for Hillary. Won't be called until half in for her. Long night for her in NM.

It's all probabilities - the larger the pile gets - the harder it is for the pile to move. As the pile gets larger, the range of possibilities for outstanding votes will shrink - roughly in an inverse relationship with the number of votes counted.

This is why in a closer election it takes much longer for it to be called then in blowouts.

To have a shot at SD, he needs to be within 2 percent at 50 percent in. The margin's twice that, with 46 percent. Could be close if the ballots outstanding are helpful, but he'll fall short.

Calling NM for Clinton. Congrats Hillary.

Hillary will earn about 120 delegates so far tonight.

Will go into CA needing 95 delegates to lock this up.

She'll go into California needing about 100 delegates. We'll know in about a hour and a half whether Bernie has a chance to actually pull this off.

True lead still about a percent with 29 percent outstanding.

Bernie to have a chance at this needs to be within a percent and a third at 75 percent in.
