I never swear in public, but when it's just me and my cat, and I'm angry, my cat has to run and hide and cover his ears.  I'm trying to turn d***it into more doggonit's.  When I'm in public I use words that my paternal grandmother would use, if she were alive, such as "shucks" and "fiddle-sticks".  I also use the phrase "Geminee Christmas" quite a bit.  Whenever I go into a rage at home, usually over trivial stuff, I can make a Navy sailor look holy.  I'm trying to stop that and I always end up being brought to my knees and asking forgiveness from my God for my dirty mouth.

I hate cussing, personally, because with the same mouth I use to sing praises to God or talk about Him, I also talk like the world.

A new classic!

So how does the mighty Naso respond to accusations that he is being hypocritical in his... "recent activities"?

Having a relationship and being against the amount of vulgar smut thrust into the faces of America's youth through music, movies and television are two entirely separate things.

I lol'd.

I'm starting to think Bushie might not be coming home to a job.

You're right, I probably won't be coming home to a job.  I'll be coming home to a career.

Landmark moment.

Dave's vision for the forum    lol

As I said in the other thread, it's nice that after nearly a decade Dave has finally let us (well some of us) know what kind of forum he wants . . .

Relying on "Dave's vision" makes about as much sense as interpreting the Constitution based on "original intent".

Most of the Democrats on here have a vision for this place that can be summarized succinctly: Diet Democratic Underground.

Dave is obviously less partisan than the above-mentioned Democrats. I suspect he sees this as a place to discuss election results, along with being a forum for exchange of various analyses, in a respectful, bipartisan manner (e.g., not calling somebody absurd/trollish for not supporting a Democrat for president).

According to Nym, he was accidentially unbanned.  The mistake has been rectified.

This guy is awesome.

Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are responsible for this. We had the perfect candidate to defeat Obama with, the one Republican we could effectively triangulate with, and now everything is in jeopardy because of a few troublemakers such as Santorum, Gingrich, et al.

Romney is the new Reagan of freedomnomics. Romney will restore respectability to Republicanism.

UNITE THE RIGHT WITH MITT ROMNEY 2012!

NOBAMA!

I'd like to enter the fact that Bushie's name is now "RomneyKenya" into the Institute.

Winfield responds to a fake article (I feel like this isn't the first time for him) and kinda sorta tries to joke around:

Gingrich speaks to 4 exuberant supporters the following day at the community hall in Beulah, Mississippi.

My friends, thank you for coming here and taking time out of your busy schedules.  Last evening, I had a heart to heart phone conversation with Governor Romney.  He has advised me that he now sees the error of his ways, and that he realizes that I am the only Republican who can run against Obama and win.  The Governor has acknowledged my superior intellect and amazing charisma, and has told me that I am the only Republican who can regain women voters back into the Republican column, as he told me given my remarkable abilities at attracting many women already.

My friends, when you next hear from me, I will be addressing you from either the moon or the planet Neptune, I am not sure which.

May the force be with you.  For now, over and out.

Naso expresses his pleasure that he can now marry his life-partner:

When I saw this headline I was jumping for joy!

Naso supports t3h gay marriagez?

No, he thinks that it's a gift for the GOP that Obama announced such a thing.

Wait, it's a Xerox-run Apple call center?

At least it's not going anywhere as opposed to fly by night operations like Dell.

I will let you in on a little secret.  Jamespol and I have good, hearty laughs when we review the daily update thread.  We talk at least once or twice a week.  Yes, he still reads the forum through this thing called the Guest account and that no one can ban him from.

The thought of a 12-year-old Tweed frankly disturbs me.

But here's the thing: he was 37 at the same time!

DC will be more Republican in 2012 than it was in 2008, after all, Romney is well liked by black Americans.

I bet you had a hard time deciding which thread to clip this into, since it fits every category. Smiley

True. I figure Winfield is pretty much just comedy.

One thing I notice is that almost all the Democrats that I meet, don't really fit into the Democratic base at all.

We've noticed that, too.

Considering Romney's past history with dogs, I'm not certain that vetting is one of his priorities.
