Trump now wants to delay the census:

Classic Trump move. He doesn't get his way so he decides to throw a tantrum instead.

This is more than a tantrum. This is (another) impeachable offense.

Article I, Section 2, Clause 3:
Quote
Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse [sic] three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 8:

Quote
Before he enters the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Mr. Trump is not a legitimate President. The prolonged failure of Congress in removing him from office is a grievous wound to our government and our nation.

You don't think there are enough reasons to impeach him yet?

So, executive branch ignores ruling by the judicial branch, and the legislative branch just sits there and claims either everything is fine or there's no reason to act. Squinting

This is a true constitutional crisis. The executive branch is flagrantly ignoring the Constitution and the legislative branch is doing nothing about it. Disgusting

We've been here since the day Trump pretended to take the Oath of Office while violating the Emoluments clause. This is just more of the same.  They're never going to stop while they still have any power at all.

Seeing the name of the Party of Lincoln worn by this group of vile would-be autocrats is both sad and horrifying. We all need to set aside our differences and make sure that our democracy is saved, the ideology of modern "Republicanism" rejected utterly, and the criminals at the heart of the Trump administration spend the rest of their lives in prison.

I hope this is finally over...for real this time.

I will say though, it's nice that Barr finally did something useful in his position. He clarified what the f*** Trump was talking about. When the President spoke before him with his usual venom-filled nonsense, I was honestly confused by whether he was throwing in the towel or not. He said he wasn't backing down, but then apparently did. I was more perplexed than usual by one of tirades, which is what it was. It wasn't coherent or direct enough to be a statement.

So thank you Attorney General Barr for making it clear that, for once, there is a constraint on Trump's ambition that is being accepted. Now, please resign in disgrace for everything else you have done!

This seems it could become a troubling precedent. Like the ancient Knights Templar or some priest-caste of antiquity, the (mal)administration will bring out their Brazen Head (he's even the right color!), the Head will spew some nonsense, and then the gibberish will be "interpreted" and the officiating priest of the Head will tell everyone what the nonsense really meant.

If Mr. Trump needs his Attorney General to act as his interpreter, and follow his remarks immediately with "what he really said was", then he is unfit to be President in one more way.
