What, if any, consequences should exist if the Regional Senator fails to perform this duty?

Without any teeth to this bill, it will end up on some omnibus "Repeal of Useless Laws" legislation in a couple of years. I'm not going to vote for something that just states implied responsibility. Regional Senators should work with regional officials to manage these issues on their own.
