The GOP is lower than dog shiit. Oh well...if anything, the destruction of ACA will hopefully lead to a single payer system

Yeah, I am sure this will cheer up those who will lose their insurance if the ACA is repealed.

You know before Medicare was passed....the US Government had means tested government insurance for the elderly that states could opt-into. It was inefficient and not that great. If anything, the destruction of the insurance market and the unfortunate suffering of tens of millions Americans with Insurance and Medicaid will hopefully galvanize action into getting a universal system. F**k the Republican Party

Talk about being naive...

What makes the ACA repeal attempts even more frustrating is the fact the ACA's "problems" aren't that hard to fix.

But sadly the government is controlled by a bunch of unserious zealots. Even if Graham-Cassidy flops ( and I think it will), the GOP will continue to do this **** until Democrats (aka the daddy party) gets back into power.

50%. It'll be up to Murkowski in the end. She LOVES planned parenthood, but does she really want to be known to republicans as the Senator who sabotaged ObamaCare repeal until at least fiscal 2019? It's a difficult question to answer.

I don't think she gives ****.

Murkowski has already proven she doesn't need the GOP to win elections. If she vote yes it will be because she supports the bill, not because she is afraid of the GOP base.

Rand Paul is all bark, not bite

I think he folds like a cheap suit.

I am not sure about that.

He voted for skinny repeal because he could theoretically argue that it was just a place holder. Graham -Cassidy is not all that different from the BCRA and Paul voted no on that.

Graham just said in an interview he thinks it has 50 votes.

No it doesn't.

If he did, McConnell wouldn't have been coy about bringing it up to vote.

Graham does not have 50 votes. While a strange course of events may lead us to 50 votes, he does not have 50 votes currently. They shouldn't have too much trouble getting everyone with the exception of Collins, Murkowski, McCain and Paul. I am of the belief that Paul will not have a problem being one of the three that kills this, if it is just the three of them (if McCain goes Yes).

If Paul is the third no, then I bet you we will see other conservatives vote no.

This bill will pass with 51 or fall well short IMO.

He has Obamaphobia.

Nah, he is just an idiot.

A lot of R's hate Obama and the ACA. But no one besides him is stupid enough to say something like this.

Alexander and Murray have reached a short-term agreement on stabilizing the ACA markets. Now we will know for sure how serious the GOP really are about this (hint. they aren't.)

Alexander talking about his and Murray's deal on the Senate floor right now. Says he has 22 cosponsors, 11 from each party.

Republicans include Alexander, Rounds, Graham, McCain, Cassidy, Collins, Ernst, Murkowski, Burr, Corker, Isakson, and Grassley.

So it's past 60 votes, getting pretty close to 67 too.

That's assuming that all Dems vote for it. Under any reasonable circumstances, they should, but worth noting that almost all the Democratic cosponsors are moderate/establishment.

They will all vote for it.
